Series of The Crusades

Ahead of now, I have been making plans since before I even began my trilogy. I have often asked myself, what's next? Here is the answer to that.

After my Third Crusade is finished and published, I would like to write at least one book on the First Crusade...perhaps more, depending how much enthusiasm there is by that point to do it. But at least one book on the First Crusade, which I began working on back in September 2010, but delayed as I felt a story on the Third Crusade could better reach an audience, due to its characters like Richard I or Saladin being more familiar to most people. My story of the First Crusade would probably focus on Godfrey de Bouillon mostly, although certainly others would be included. This story is also an amazing one and anyone having interest in military or church history or just good stories in general should find it so, as well. It is my intent to tell the true story of it.

From the First Crusade, I clearly know there are numerous other crusades that took place in history. Most being of little knowledge to most people, and there are plenty of good stories from this era that should be told. Still, my primary focus is to keep Jerusalem central, and the main most influencing wars that were holy wars. These are the stories I am trying to tell. The other story I would like to tell would be of a different time in history, a time that nothing in history had ever seen like before it. It would be set in that great struggle, called ''The War to End All Wars''. Today we call this cataclysmic struggle: World War One.

Most history books have overshadowed it with the second World War.  How many events from it are known to most people? D-Day, Battle of the Bulge, Holocaust, Pearl Harbor, and numerous others! Then there is World War One, which is hardly thought of by most people at all, and what is known is very little: the Red baron, Sergeant York, Battle of Somme. But what about the war in the Middle East, the liberation of Jerusalem in 1917. My own story of World War I will concentrate on the likes of General Edmund Allenby and Sir Harry Chauvel among others. The people and events may be mentioned in the accounts of T. Lawrence of Arabia. Many of the British soldiers called themselves crusaders, and in legend, after Jerusalem was taken it is said that General Allenby said,  ''The Wars of the Crusades are now complete.'' Jews rejoiced at the liberation of Jerusalem by the British. Muslims also were glad to be free from the tyrannical grip of the Ottoman Empire. It was here in the First World War that would establish the foundations for the future nation of Israel.

Thus will be my series of the Crusades.

  1. I think that the liberation of Jerusalem by the British is a very important part of World War I. The Jews were finally able to get their homeland, which is apart of God's grater plan for the Jewish people, and our current history of the world.

But I believe that when one carefully examines the elimination of the Patriarchal Familial Monarchies of central and Eastern Europe during World War I, with the democracies of The West -- History shows us that there has been no net positive result, and the result has been mostly negative.

The Hapsburgs, the Hohenzollerns, the Romanovs, and other families provided stability that has not been seen in central/eastern Europe since they were eliminated, and provided that kind of stability for hundreds of years previous.

These dynasties, though cast in a bad light by The West since they have been replaced, actually provided a benevolent noble family that was truly concerned about the safety, welfare, care, and most importantly, morality, of their subjects.

These distasteful, misguided concepts of abortion-up-to-the-time-of-labor, wanton homosexuality, never would have been allowed under the guidance of a benevolent monarchy. These noble families were far too interested in keeping with the teachings of moral clergy advising them, such as Lutheran ministers, Catholic bishops, or Orthodox patriarchs.

It is only in the failing last gasp of these mob democracies, that we see 9 million abortions per year as we see in The West. These misguided concepts of 1- or 2-child families. Or lastly, creating deficits that cause misery and heartache for a current voter's children and grandchildren.

History will judge that the benevolent monarchies were a fruitful form of government. -- Lou Giannuzzi

  2. Hmm... very interesting thoughts . I really find the liberation of Jerusalem in 1917 to be fascinating. Thank you for writing here. I enjoy good conversation. And I can see you are bringing out a good discussion. However, if you say you agree with monarchy I must disagree. Some great monarchs have lived like Henry V or, good ones like him. But in the Old Testament, Israel was never the same when they adapted a king. Man cannot trust man alone to lead himself. Monarchy was far too powerful before the Magna Charta, and even afterwards many heretics were killed for their faith by corrupt kings during the times of reformation. Because of man's corruption, which has existed before the garden of Eden, man cannot possibly form a perfect government, and he should surely not put all his trust in one man to lead him. That's a lot of trust in a mere man. You see, man needs to turn to the Bible for guidance, and put his trust in God's word, not man's opinion. All men have greatly fallen before God's standards of law, known to us as the ten commandments. And because of this, all principalities become greatly corrupt when one man leads government on his own. Jeremiah 17:9 says
''The Human mind is more deceitful than anything else. It is incurably bad. Who cannot understand it?'' Our hope, faith, love, and commitment should only be in one monarch, King Jesus, The Son of God. All kings and leaders that rule, he places to be in power, for He rules, with sincerity and love to honor and glorify His father. We should put our trust in Him. But man can only do that if he turns from His sins and trust in Jesus Christ. Allah and Buddha won't save a man from the wrath of God. Only trust in the sacrifice at what Jesus Christ did at the cross and putting Him the Lord of your life is what saves a man from hell.
Very good talking to you. How did you find out about my blog?
